(no subject)

Today has been one of those days where I feel like I've gotten nothing done, but yet again I feel like I've accomplished quite a lot...a busy day filled with nothing. Chris is still feeling sick (I really hope he goes to the doctor on Monday. I'm sure he needs antibiotics.) so I took the kids to the lake. We live quite close to a bird sanctuary. It's a very cool place but we'd only been there once before. The boys especially like the visitors' center where they have a very nice, hands-on kids corner. I also found out they have a "Scout Saturday" once a month where cub scouts can come and work on completing badges. Coolness! Max had fun tromping around in the wild outdoors as well. It's funny to see him, as a toy breed-lap dog type, climbing through the weeds and wadding into the lake. The kids favorite past time at the lake is just to throw rocks in. They don't even try to skip them, they just like to throw rock after rock. Fine with me :) I just sat down and watched them throw. Petey invented a little game with the pebbles, something to do with saving the town from flooding. Zack had a stick that he was using to make kung fu noises with. Overall, it was a good time. And--fun for the kids--we got to see a dead deer on the side of the road as we were leaving. Ah, nothing like getting back to nature.
