Mar. 7th, 2008 10:23 amZack stayed home from school today with a cough. It occurs to me that this is the first day of school he's missed this year. His cough was so bad this morning that the was gagging. Poor kid. It will be nice for Josh to have someone to stay home with him and hopefully they will keep each other occupied.
The library is having their Friends of the Library book sale this week. I REALLY want to go to it but I honestly have no reason to. I don't *need* any specific books. But good golly, if I wouldn't love to just go stack up on an armload of books. Maybe I'll just go to look (yeah, right.)
Zack had a basketball game last night and he made another basket! I didn't stay for the game because Josh's cough was too bad. He still doesn't feel well, but he hasn't quite developed a fever (he's got up to 100 a couple of times) and I just don't know if I should take him to the dr. or not. When Chris and Zack got back from the game, Chris gave me the highlights. He said that for most of the game, Zack was in his own little world. The coach and other kids kept calling his name to get his attention. At one point, Zack was sort of off by himself on the court when the kid with the ball broke away from the pack and came barreling towards Zack. It caught Zack by surprise to suddenly be confronted like that and his knee-jerk reaction was to hold up both his hands in the shape of striking cobras and hiss at the kid. I can just imagine him "Hsssssssss!" Chris said the kid was very surprised but laughed and still made a basket. I still lol when I visualize Zack doing that. He's so funny.
My house is a wreck but I'm trying not to care. My spring break is next week, not on par with any of the other family members' spring break. I think this is a good thing because it means I can have time to do some thorough cleaning and organizing. I really want to have a garage sale before we move again. We need to simplify!
