Nov. 8th, 2007 06:52 amI spent all day yesterday as busy as a bee. I cleaned the whole upstairs: dining room, kitchen, living room, both bedrooms, and bathroom. Why, you may wonder? Chris had the YM over last night to bake bread. I have two church ladies coming to visit this morning, and on Saturday evening we have some of his students coming for dinner. It just seemed like a good time to do a deep cleaning.
The house looks so good :) However, I was exhausted last night and fell asleep by 9:30. I feel so rested this morning, ready to tackle a new day.
So, Chris had the YM over last night to bake bread. The idea behind this activity was that they bake bread to be used on Sunday for the sacrament. I was weary of this idea from the beginning. It is dang hard to make bread, at least in my experience. Why did they think a bunch of 12-17 y/o boys would be able to pull it off? Even if they had made a serious attempt at it, which they didn't, I would have been very surprised if it had worked. I stayed out of their way for most of the evening, but I did happen to spy of of the kids pouring some of his soda (the one he was drinking out of) into the dough. Yeah, I wonder why the dough never rose? There's no telling what else they did to it. The dough is still sitting in the bowl, we never even tried to bake it. Ah well, they had lots of fun playing Wii Sports, at least.
