I'm trying on a new lay-out. I like it.

We are back at MILs home. It is great to be here. The cousins were here and the kids played together all day and into the night. I even played "Hide and Sneak" with them (a game created by the brilliant imagination of Petey). We are headed to the beach this afternoon to gaze upon the awesome forces of nature. The ocean is always a magnificent sight to behold as hurricanes approach.

Everyone (except _bella_luna) is certain our flight will be canceled. I hope not. An evacuation notice has been issued to all non-residents. We're going to look into getting an earlier flight home.

We had planned on leaving Florida Sunday morning. We just found out that the airport will be closing Saturday evening and all Sunday flights are canceled. However, they rescheduled us. Chris is leaving Monday and the boys and I are leaving Tuesday. Connor will be going with Chris; that will make my trip much easier. I really hope this works out. We learned today that following Hurricane Ivan the airport was closed for a full week. If that were to happen, the University would probably be forced to give Chris' class to another TA. We simply can't afford to lose that much income.

So, hopefully we will be going home only a day or two late. But we will be here for the hurricane!

Update on my sister: She was sent home from the hospital today. She's doing much better and will hopefully make a full recovery. My mom said Wendy lost 20 pounds just from the fluid she had been retaining. Her doctor told her she should not have anymore children. She's 21. Apparently the condition would come back much worse if she were to ever get pregnant again. My heart aches for her. She's too young for this.

Between my sister, the hurricane, and the london bombings I am feeling pretty somber.

Zoo pics

On July 4 we went to the Zoo. It was hot but the kids still had a good time. I think Chris had more then anyone else fun feeding the animals.

Swimmin' time

At FIL's house the kids spent much time swimming. I love these pics because they've caught each boy in his favorite pose. Zack with the cannonball, Pete with the belly flop, and Connor quite content in his rubbermaid tote. The pool was too deep for him, but the tote was just his size and he loved it.
