Writer's Block: Thumbs down!

My least favorite genre for movies and books is horror. I don't watch horror movies-ever, nor do I read horror books. Perhaps my imagination is too vivid, but I get nightmares that really upset me. I don't even allow myself to watch certain TV shows that I know will affect me that way (NCIS is one of them). Am I a wimp? Maybe. But there are plenty of other awesome books, movies and shows out there to occupy my over-active imagination.
Do I feel left out when people talk about them? Nope. I could really care less.

I don't like anything that involves kids. To me kids seem to grow up too fast, why include them in movies or tv shows that might scare them or encourage them to play act in a way that's way older than they.
But I love crime shows. Criminal Minds is my favorite. I think it's because I am really into psychology and how the mind works and why it works the way it does. I'm just fascinated by it.
So least fascinating: Romance, fantasy, westerns in books, most sitcoms unless they're smart like The Office or Better Off Ted, etc.; hour long dramas like ER, Grey's Anatomy, etc.; and movies: gore and ninja and car racing movies.
I think I'm a book, tv, and movie snob!
