Not-so-bad-in-the-grand-scheme-of-things news
And it turns out that my sinus infection that was really an ear infection is in actuality an abscessed tooth.
I went to the dentist today for a couple of fillings and I told him about the face pain as well as the swelling of my gums (I didn't telly you guys this part. My swollen gum actually "popped" and I had to spit out some yucky white stuff.) He tested my upper right back molar with some sort of electrical device. I didn't feel a thing, which he said means the tooth is dead. If it had any nerve left, I'd have felt a tingling with the electrical probe. *sigh*. I've never had a root canal and I dread it. I DREAD IT.
Not to mention the cost. Thankfully we have really good insurance, but even with that I'm dropping a cool $500.
And there goes the first chunk of the income tax refund. I wonder what will be next. C'mon, start lining up, all you unexpected-expenses. I know you're out there! Let's just get this over with.

That always seems to happen to me. There are two months in the year where I get an "extra" paycheck and I will plan for months in advance what I want to spend it on. Maybe I'll break down and buy an iPod or I need some new shoes or I'd like to get pampered at a day spa. But then something medical happens and I get a $200 bill or something goes wrong with my car and I get a $300 bill. It never fails!!
