I named him Max after much soul-searching. However, Zack wants to call him Pugsy and pretty much everyone else is going with that name. I'm hoping to win out because I think Pugsy is such a generic name (not that Max is totally original, but you know what I mean.)
ooh ooh ooh - sorry, just love him! Seriously, I am in love with your dog and I've never even met him. He just looks so sweet and adorable and huggable and everything. Don't you just want to nom on him?
I do, I do! He's so adorable and fun. I do miss having a few minutes during the day to sit and relax, but it's all in the name of puppy love. Today he's getting into absolutely everything. I guess the first couple of days he was just adjusting to being here and now he figures everything is free game. I found him with a button in his mouth early. That is scary! It's like having a toddler again. I love it :)
*lol* I understand! Now that we're constantly worried about Charlie taking flight and smacking into walls, we've not had to worry so much about his picking everything he can up and trying to taste/eat it. Birds sense with their tongues so everything gets beaked, but it weirds me out because so many things can't be eaten or even tasted because it's poinsonous to the bird.
Anyway, Max is adorable. Does he snuggle in your lap? Can you have lap time with him? heee heee, I know he's not a child.
I hold him on my lap in the evenings after the kids have gone to bed. He's just the same size as a cat, so snuggling with him is satisfying in that way. When the kids are up and about, I make sure he sees me holding and snuggling the kids so he can understand the pecking order. He really follows me everywhere. Last night I put one of my shoes in his crate and he hardly whined at all. I think I've figured out the fascination with my shoes, though. Those are the shoes I wore when we went to get him and they must still smell like his family. He lived with his mom and two other relatives (I'm not sure how all those dogs were related.) Sometimes he falls asleep with his face in my shoes. So cute! Right now he's lying at my feet attacking one of his chew toys. They have these really cool toys that are rubber and hollow. You can stuff it full of treats. I put peanut butter in it this morning and it really has his attention. Ok, now he's lying under the desk inbetween my feet!
