For those of my lj friends who don't like stories about vomiting, you may want to skip this story. Just fair warning.

This has been a usual morning, nothing out of the ordinary. Got the kids to school, cleaned up breakfast, started laundry, did some grocery shopping and sat down to do a bit of reading. I sat on the couch, reading through an article for my Lit class when suddenly I felt a wave of nausea. Huh? Then an intense wave of hunger and a sneeze. Wha...? This weird phenomenon, quick succession of nausea, hunger than sneeze, is something I usually only experience when I'm pregnant.

Next thing I knew, I was in the bathroom puking up my breakfast. No warning or upset tummy before hand. Just all the sudden throwing up. As it was happening, all I could think was "Is this morning sickness?!" What if, what if...

As most of you know, I have an IUD. If I were to get pregnant, I'd have no choice but to consider it a miracle. IUD's are 99.9% effective. Another thing that occurred to me as I was sitting there spewing (you see, I'm trying to use every word for vomiting that I can think of, lol) I realized that I wouldn't be upset about being pregnant. My very first and very big concern would be what dangers the IUD would present to the baby.

Anyway, all that speculation aside, I'm sure it is just a virus of some sort. There is no question that such a virus is going around. Two of my lj friends, [livejournal.com profile] alifeinfocus and [livejournal.com profile] t_jay, have recently had this yucky stomach. Josh's teacher was out of school with it yesterday. I didn't get the flu/cold that everyone else in the family had a month ago, so I suppose it is my turn to get sick. Blah.

Ooohhh .. Sneezing while feeling like you're going to vomit .. That must be nice! haha ..

Ohh and morning sickness .. I hate those words, I stayed so sick to my stomach for a good month!

Whatever the reason you were 'spewing' I hope you feel better soon! haha

Thanks :) When I was pregnant with Josh, I lost 15 lbs from morning sickness alone. I get it pretty badly. So, I'm with you! I dread it!!

Thanks. I've just been resting up and I've had no further incidents. Chris came home early from work to let me have the day off. What a sweet guy :)

Hang in, there! If it's a virus it'll be gone in no time. Mine only lasted a few hours (I didn't vomit, tho) and Mark's has lasted about 24 hours now, but he's not vomiting or having diarrhea anymore.

If you are preggers, and you are happy about it, well then that's wonderful and I'll be so excited for you. :)

I feel pretty sure it is a virus. so, is your Frasier icon in reaction to the idea of a surprise pregnancy, lol? Either way, it's cute :)

I hope you feel better soon.

I'm just coming out of the sicky phase. I've realized what a blessing it was to not have to do the school run on it.

I'm glad you're feeling better. It's always such a relief to finish with morning sickness and enjoy the (usually) uneventful second trimester.
