I've been thinking about giving it up too. Do you remember that when I was about 14-15 we didn't have a tv? Or was I younger...I'm not sure. Anyway, for about a year we had no tv. My parents just put it away in the closet. I often was clueless at school when people were discussing the latest shows (The Fresh Prince of Bel Air comes to mind) but honestly I didn't miss it very much. I recently read an article about a family who gave up their tv. The author was the mom of the family and she said that suddenly she had time to do all the projects she thought she never had time to get to. I guess with the writers on strike and nothing really new on, it seems easier to just turn it off. Also, I hate how often Zack wants to turn on the tv. It's always his first instinct. First thing in the morning, first thing when he gets home from school, right after dinner, etc. I wonder how he'd survive with out the TV.
