My mother in law gave me a gift certificate to Deseret Books, an LDS bookstore, for Christmas. I used it to purchase two beautiful works of art by Liz Lemon Swindle. Both pictures feature Christ with a child/children. I love them and can't wait to find the perfect place for them in my home!

rofl!! I imagine He probably is hot, considering he's perfect. I agree with you, I think children did gravitate to Him instinctively. I also think that He loved it. I have the same opinion as you. I like the first pic best, but I like the smile in the second.

This artist gives a very personal portrayal of Christ that I really like. If you think He's hot in these pics, tell me what you think of her version of him in this one (http://www.christcenteredmall.com/stores/art/swindle/jesus.htm)?

Stop it! I feel sacrilidgeous (sp?) for getting hot and bothered by Jesus! I'm lusting my heart for the Son of God and I'm married! That's like a double sin!

*lol* I hope not! I mean, God shouldn't have made Jesus so dang good looking if he didn't want women to drool over him.

Actually, I was reading this very interesting book by Philip Yancey called "The Jesus I Never Knew". Fantastic book! Anyway, he did some research about what Jesus looks like, and supposedly (according to Yancey) He looks nothing like what we have all grown up thinking Jesus looks like. Shorter, more grubby (think of all the walking and hard work he did), calloused hands (he was a carpenter). Something about his skin too.

That's another book to add to your list. It's a wonderful, wonderful book. I wish Mike would read it.
