This is taking place on my street right now. This house, lived in by a single college guy, just went up in flames! No one was home, but luckily the dog got out. Someone called the guy at work and he rushed home. Everyone in the neighborhood is standing around across the street, watching the house burn. Right now the firefighters pretty much have it under control, and they made sure the fire didn't spread to the surrounding houses either.

Wow! Who expects such a thing to happen! Actually, Spokane has been combating a rash of arson fires lately. We even have a family at our church whose house was burned in an arson fire. I wonder if that will be the case here? At one point the fire must have hit a stash of bottle rockets, because it sounded like Chinese New Year for a few seconds.

Poor guy, that's horrible! I'm always scared of something like that happening to us, our dogs and cats are strictly inside and I worry about them and the house a lot when we're gone. =\

It really gave me a wake up call. The house went up in flames so fast. It really made me realize how easily it could have been my home. Scary!
