Zack's self portrait

Here it is, the long awaited debut of the highly acclaimed up and coming artist, Zack. Behold his dramatic use of coloring and texture. Note his subtle use of dragon decor on the t-shirt. His style seems to be reminiscent of Picasso, but still has many unique qualities that only Zack can produce.

Here is the whole portrait.

No. 4!!!

Again!

I like it. It's very Picasso-esque but Dali in length. I am actually quite drawn to the eyes (and totally being serious, not pretending at all to "critique a child") - there is something very neat about the way he drew them, something so original and not at all child-like. I think it was his decision to paint half the face blue with the bit of purple. There is something very deliberate about choosing those colors and putting them where he did.

What has he said to you about his portrait?

He hasn't said much about it. He's not one to share his thoughts about things too freely. His art teacher made sure to encourage them to use lots of colors and to draw their eyes and body more life like, not just circles and sticks. She's awesome. Unfortunatly, she's leaving to teach at the high school next year.

I'm going to have his portrait framed. I consider it a treasure.
