(no subject)

I read the new Dan Brown all day yesterday, And then, with only a handful of pages left I fell asleep (midnight-ish). I kept trying to wake up and finish it, but it just could no longer hold my attention. And this was before I even found out what the secret to the universe was.

Of course, I already know it is 42, I'm just curious to see if Robert Langdon figures that out on his own.

The book club I belong to wants to read the book AND take the Dan Brown tour of DC. :/

I wondered if anyone had established a tour based on the book yet. Does that mean you'd get to climb to the top of the Capitol dome? I would be interested in seeing some of the Masonic lodges that they discusses, especially the one in Alexandria. It would be a fun read for a book club, but probably wouldn't spark any deep discussions. It feels too patterned now, like it's almost exactly formatted like the other two Langdon books.

Ugh. http://www.jaunted.com/story/2009/9/17/125846/721/travel/Top+Three+DC+Tourist+Sites+Ruined+By+Dan+Brown's+'The+Lost+Symbol'

I suggested reading a book and then watching the movie, but people didn't have time. :(
