I discovered a tiny white worm on Max's bottom yesterday and called the vet first thing this morning to ask if they could identify/treat it. She could over the phone just by my description: a tape worm which he got by eating a flea. I asked if it posed a danger to my kids and she answered, "Only if they eat fleas." hee. Max has taken his medicine so hopefully all is well there. It's gross and just another thing for me to worry about. I'm glad we were able to figure it out so easily, though.

My classes started today. I feel pretty certain that the web design class will be the most work intensive, yet the most interesting and immediately useful. I hope by the end of the quarter I'll be able to design my own lj layout. One of my lj friends, [livejournal.com profile] kimaginethis always has the most amazing, seasonally appropriate journal. Maybe someday I too can be cool like that :)

Our cats on Rucker used to get worms all the time. But with that Advantage medicine they have now, our cats now don't ever get worms. I think the stuff they take is not just tape worm related but also heart worm related. I had no idea cats could get heart worms like dogs could.

Don't worry about. It's pretty harmless as long as he has his flea medication and gets treated for the worms if you see them again. I don't think you're boys will eat the fleas either.

If you figure out how to design LJ layouts, you'll have to teach me.
