Capricorn

Capricorn gives medium stature, or under; sometimes bony and thin; weak chest, sloping shoulders, long necks. Head small; face thin; firm lips, pointed and long chin; brow-bones prominent; ears deficient in the lobes; hairs scanty; eyes deep-set; long or prominent nose, hands bony.

Some of the manuscripts I've worked with this summer deal with astrology and palmistry. Today I'm doing some research on the topic so I can be better prepared to discuss it when we do our display. I just found this description of Capricorns in a book entitled "Astro-Palmistry", published in 1930 in Calcutta. Accroding to this description, I should basically look like a cave man. A skinny, almost bald cave man.

Another chapter deals with birthmarks. Accordingly, I should (and don't) have one on my knee.

Your birthmark/scar should be on your lower legs and ankles.

"Aquarius gives long stature or medium height, well-formed and square built. Face long and fleshy, straight features but sometimes rugged; well developed chin; large mouth; hair slightly curling; eyes deep-set and wide apart; nose straight and slightly squiline. Hands long and square.

Um...wow...um....no...I have a fleshy face but it's because I'm overweight. My hands are pretty squat and stubby.

Yep, this is certainly wrong. And I have no scares or birthmarks on my lower legs and ankles.

ah no birthmark on my legs or ankle but I do have a scar there from my chronic ankle sprains. It is actually has very little feeling either. I think in one of my falls I damaged a nerve.

mmm long stature- nope

medium height- depends on who you ask. me I'm short. my siblings i'm short. but i would guess by the average height i'm only slightly shorter. About.com says the average height for a woman here is 63.8 inches, or 5 feet 3.8 inches and I'm 5 feet 3 even.

well-formed & square built: sure I'll agree with well formed but not square built.

long face- nope try small head instead. Fleshy- sure cuz even skinny I had thick skin on my face. Large mouth- ha try the opposite here. so small that they've had to use to pediatric thing to take dental xrays.

Straight features & nose- then I wouldn't be having trouble with my nose right now and the talk of having to have surgery to fix it wouldn't be happening right now.

well developed chin- sure, slightly curly hair-sure; long hands sure

square hands, i think I have more square shaped hands.

So i guess more wrong than right here.
