I've decided to try out Dreamwidth because I'm becoming increasingly alarmed by the DDoS attacks on LJ. This is me, testing out the cross-posting capabilities.
Tell me more. I have been having trouble reading people's journals here... it's telling me that I'm clicking too fast which means I must be a bot (LOL).
It's just like LJ "used" to be back in the good ol' days. 15 user pics for free and the format is exactly the same. As you can see, you can also cross post to LJ very easily. The thing is that you have to have an invite code from a current user, or else pay to use their site. It's actually based on Livejournal, but an updated version.
Dreamwidth is just like LJ but no ads and more user pics. It does cost to join, unless you have a code. florence_craye said she has plenty of codes to share, if you'd like one. (see further down in this thread.)
I know! I was happily surprised to see that Lizzy Bennet was still available!
So, literary name for you...are you thinking classical literature, modern, sci-fi? There are lots of Harry Potter names or spells we could choose from probably. I'm thinking something more classic. How about one of the Dashwood girls from Sense and Sensibility?

Will you come up with a cool literary user name for me? I asked Florence_Craye for a invitation code. Anyway, you name me.

Although I'm open to just about anything. I think Harry Pottter will be too easy. Cool, but easy.

enjoy! I love it so far, but I wish more people were over there. I would be happy if all my friends and their friends on lj were to move over.

I can't find you. How do I search for people?
