A while back I read on Snopes.com that there are places in China where they raise St. Bernard dogs for food. And I came to the conclusion that I'm fine with that, really. Nobody (other than folks who don't think meat should be eaten at all) really challenges my right to eat beef, despite cows being subjects of worship in India. So why should I object to someone getting nutrition out of something I would rather snuggle than eat?

Wouldn't want to run across one on a butcher block, though. Still, new experiences, right?
