So far today I've peeled, cored and sliced about 5 lbs. of apples and 2 lbs. of sweet potatoes. I've also made an apple pie as well as did a marathon shopping spree at Metro. My back aches. However, my house is quiet compared to Mariannette's. She has about 10 people down there helping prep food, slicing and dicing away. I feel a bit left out. Why doesn't anyone want to work up here at my house? I suspect it's because we don't drink. Living in such close quarters with your friends/co-workers really brings those things to the forefront. Normally, I don't think about the fact that I don't drink. That's just my life, that's just who I am. Instead of feeling left out, I should be grateful that they respect my religious convictions and don't try to bring their beers up here, right? And besides, I have had some people up here helping and hanging out, too. I'm just not the party guru that Mariannette is, I freely admit that.

Tomorrow should be great fun! I'm really looking forward to it. But right now, it's time for movies. Chris just got home from the movie store with seasons 1 and 2 of Prison Break. Will it live up to all the hype? Hmmm....

We bought some more fish today. Pics to follow.

I'd hang out with you too. Being on the meds requires me not to drink, not that I did a whole lot of drinking before that. I always seem to be entirely too giggly if I have more than a glass of wine.

But it would have been fun hanging out with The Girls on such a festive occasion. Music could have been playing and we could have been dancing and singing while preparing.

*hugs* I'm really glad your Chinese Thanksgiving went so well!
