I'm off to Headland, Alabama this morning to visit my own parents. I'll be staying with them for about three weeks, then Chris will be joining us to visit with his parents for two more weeks. My parents have internet, but it is dial up. I'm so spoiled! I dread the thought of dial up. Oh well. I can deal.
I love the town they live in. It is a small little place with large beautiful trees. In the spring time, the streets are lined with azaleas and other bright blossoms. From my parents house, I can easily walk to any important place in town: the post office, the library, the Piggly Wiggly, or the Civil War monument. So, between all that walking and my parent's heart healthy/low cholesterol diet, perhaps I will shed a few pounds. I know Chris will walking all over China and eating their low fat food. Last time he went for four months and came home almost 20 pounds lighter. Likewise, I lost about 15 pounds. It seems we are each others worst enemy when it comes to dieting. We're junk food buddies.
By the way, I heard from him and he got to Taiwan safe and sound. He'll stay there for about a week and then head to Hong Kong.
