I've read the "Hobbit" but not LOTR. I guess I should have clarified that it reminded me of a scene from the LOTR movies. I've tried to read them too, as my parents LOVE them. They've both read the trilogy several times. I just read "A Wrinkle in Time" with in the past few years. I just decided it was time to read it. It was interesting.

I hope you can read "Lion, Witch and Wardrobe" before you see the movie. It is a wonderful book. Of course, if it was up to me, I'd be making you a nice long list of things to read - lol
